Color Explosion finish? Help

Hi everybody,
I have some color explosion blanks and im not sure how to finish them.:confused:
Do i wet sand with MM?
Do i use a CA finish? ( thin,medium, how many coats)
Dry sand?
Do i buff?
Please help

Harry; Yes; wet sand at about 400 to 500 RPM. You only need 1-3 drops of water. Cover the lathe bed with something like shelf liner paper or something else water proof. Sand with the lathe running, then turn the lathe off and sand lengthwise while turning the lathe slowly by hand. Wipe off the blank and the MM. Repeat for all the grits of MM, then polish with a plastic polish. Examine the blank with a strong light and a magnifying glass. If you see any scratches, repeat the MM starting with about 4000.

CA is optional. You normally don't need it except on Alumilite.

I do the same as Randy offered and have great results. After I used plastic polish I put a little Ren wax as well. Helps with finger prints.
I really like those color explosion blanks. Just started using them and are popular with customers.

I was thinking of finishing like i do my acrylics but wasn't sure.
I love these color explosion blanks, they turn very easy.
I love this site, so much knowlegde all in one place.
