I picked up a few of these Amalgam Mutt blanks from Bear Tooth and am amazed at the quality and ease of turning. Wrapped this one around a Black TI/Platinum Hybrid Cigar.

Nice job, Dick! And your photo skills seem markedly better, as well. Is that due to that new lens?

The new macro lens has something to do with it but most is because I pulled some techniques out of my old brain that I learned years ago.

Really nice looking pen-great job.

+100 on El Mostro blanks. I did an Orion in the same color, came out really nice, and did a Jr. Gent I in pink, white and gray, really pops. Then did a purple, grey, white color explosion for perfume atomizer-really rich looking.

I know what you mean about turning those color explosion blanks-LONG, LONG ribbons come off in beautiful colors. I don't how Eugene makes those blanks, and the Amalgum Mutts, but they are SO NICE to turn.
