I just finished turning a coffee scoop with a coffee bean blank. I am getting ready to finish the blank and got to wondering, if I use micro fiber will the beans swell from the water? Should I use all 3 of my buffing wheels or just some? When I am finished I would still like to smell the coffee beans.
If anyone has some suggestion I am all ears!

I recommend a CA finish as the exposed beans are, otherwise, not very resistant to regular use, etc. You won't be able to smell the beans afterward, however.

I dry sanded to 600 and put on one coat of wipe-on poly. Not very glossy but the better half claims you can still smell the beans and it has been about a year. It is a pen but a coffee scoop should not need to be washed.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up buffing it. Then I put CA( Because I am giving it to a Coffee Shop owner and I don't know how much time it will be in the water) and then Micro Fibered. It looks great!
