I've been pretty busy with work and family lately so not much posting or time in the shop lately but managed to get these done.
Some Comfort Pens made with the casing from a rock climbing line. These turned out to be more of a challenge than I thought they would be. First I had to get set up for casting. Then it became apparent that the rope casing was thicker then could be used with standard pen parts. I found that the comfort pen centerband was large enough but the nib and clip end would not be. The answer was in casting the blank then turning a section from each end down to the tube then casting again to add the contrasting color. This band on the ends could then be tapered to match the fittings. As usual the pics could be better I'm still working on that part. Thanks for looking.
