Is that fig wood actually hard enough to turn without being stabilized? I tried some of our local South African Figs - I mean I stay 4 km away from the Wonderboom or Wonder/Miracle tree - but all our ficus species have very soft wood... couldn't get anything done with it...

I don't know about green but this was quite hard and very aggressive on the tool.
I just love the grain.
