Christmas Projects: Hair Clips

My wife has had an oval hair clip for as long as we've been married (15+ years )

I thought I could make it even cooler with some laminated woods. I made a bunch, and she already snagged one. That's how I know I did good! :biggrin:

Sorry, the only photo I have is a still shot from the video. You can get the idea though.

They are laminated from sycamore, pine, dogwood, mulberry and claro walnut. Finished with wipe on poly and buffed with white diamond compound.

with slight modification to your process, you could make that into the style of hair thingy that a woman would take a pointed dowel and slide it through.
