Cedar pen from August Pith

Brian (JustmeinMS) sent a few blanks as safe packing material with my September Pith pen. I made the following Creekline with one of them. Cedar turns about as easy as anything I've ever put on the lathe. I like it!

Great looking pen. My experience with cedar is exactly the opposite every time I try to turn something from cedar I mess it up some how. It either chips out when near final dims or I do something stupid like not thinking and wet sanding it to an ugly color.
