Hi All,

Another from today!
This one i really enjoyed making.
It is a Titanium Gold with Sterling Silver accents Canadiana kit.
The blank i used is a Black with Gold Matrix Trustone.
I scrolled the music note first and used turquoise inlace to inlay it.
Not too bad for my first time scroll sawing!!

It is a pen for a friends husband who is a composer.
Hope he likes it!

Now i just have to figure out how much to charge for it....

Comments welcomed!!

Andrew

Very nice Andrew. Been a while since I've done a Canadiana as well. The black looks great on it. Really like the note. I assume it is right through, ie shows both sides?
No idea what to charge. Don't sell yourself short though.

Thanks guys!!

Yes the note goes all the way through.
Wish i could figure out how to go halfway on each side so that the note would always be in the correct orientation...

Think i have my camera set up quite well now.
No modifications done to the pictures, just some cropping and added the text.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Awesome pen! The blank and componants are a perfect match. And that note, what can I say? WOW! Oh, yes, the photo is no slouch either.

Now why didn't I think of that? Too many tools, nah, just no brain. Gotta try that now.

Actually though in this case aren't there notes that face both ways??? Thinking back, way back to my 3rd grade music class. Ouch that hurt:bulgy-eyes:

Cut the blank in half, scroll on each half separately the correct orientation then glue the blank back together, fill, and turn.

I have done pens with names on them that way and if you use a fine blade the seam is barely noticeable and that was on wood. It would probably be less visible on this blank.

Actually the note in the picture has the "flag" on the wrong side but that would make the other side of the pen correct.

Very nice pen Andrew and well executed.
