I have been working with Cholla cactus for 3 years and have developed a good technique and nice product, but want to expand my skills. In New Mexico I harvest my own Cholla and within 20 minutes of my home I have a good supply of skeleton to utilize, however Prickly Pear is less accessible and rarely around standing dead.

Is Prickly Pear found the same way Cholla is?

What material is used for the solid color material? I have used poly resin for feather pen blanks. Is there just an additive for the poly or another material completely?

Is there anyone that has the skeletal Prickly Pear for trade or sale?
