I have used acetone with good results, too. Just keep it away from the frame if possible (especially plastic frames)

WAIT JUST A MINUTE!!!!

I just want to make sure I am understanding.

You are saying that you can use acetone to remove ca spots from "plastix" eyeglass lenses????
I am assuming this is a typo and Eaglesc really means plastic, since c is right next to x on the keyboard.
On glass lenses without any special coatings acetone should be fine, but on plastic?? NO Way, don't do it.

That is what they use to clean mine at lens crafters at lest thats what they told me. I aways got catalyzed lacquer overspray on mine and it was the only thing that would take it off. But I did let them do it.
