I use CA on the tubes.

On some occassions I use accelerator. The foaming that occurs appears to introduce air into the foam. After watching this I am beginning to wonder if the use of accelerator on tubes is introcduing some extrea air into the tube area that may weaken the connection.

What do you think[?]

That is one theory that has been kicked around here.
I use CA when the tubes are a good fit, if they wobble a bit I use gorilla glue, which inherently foams. So...?

I am not sure about CA being poor for Gap filling. Especially, the thick viscosity. Nonetheless, accelerator (ACC) weakens the bond of CA for sure. It tends to make it much more brittle. I use medium for my tubes, and don't have to use ACC. Also, all ACC's are created equal. I have the best luck with Aresol ACC as opposed to the pumps.
