I made these for my brother in AZ. Interesting thing... I used the same dye on both the pen and the pipe. When I hit the pen with the first coat of CA, it turned red toned. The dye is Fiebings leather dye that I use on pipes. It is alcohol based dye. There obviously was a reaction between that and the CA. Still, I love the color the pen turned out to be. It's really gorgeous up close.
