I know that this question has come up before but am wondering if things have changed since then. Does anyone put a brand/mark on their pens to identify them? If so, what method do you use?

2 reasons - 1 to identify in case someone returns a pen to get it fixed under warranty or repaired - you would want to make sure that it was one that you made; 2 - to build you brand.

Comments??

Thanks

I know one individual (not sure he's on IAP) who laser engraves a serial number on each pen (he sells high end pens) so they can be claimed on insurance, and replaced if needed (by cross referencing the serial number, he can recreate the same style pen). I'm not sure where on the pen he does the engraving, though.

I saw a guy in a meeting at work a few months ago using a hand turned kit pen. He bought it in Hawaii and it had a mark on it. I don't know if if was a brand or laser engraved logo. It was on the upper barrel, if I remember right.
