bottle stopper problem

Has anyone else had a problem with CSUSA bottle stopper threads being undersized? The last batch I had measured .350 in. and just dropped into the threadded hole in the stopper that had been tapped with a 3/8 x 16 tap. Any suggestions for who to buy stainless stoppers from?
