Hi Peoples,

I felt like do some turning today (well, this evening) as the day was about 40C or maybe more so too hot during the day in the shed. Picked a piece of dry Radiata Pine from the plantation next door and got it spinning. Nothing special on the shape, nor I gave it much of a thought, basically go with the flow and I end-up with another small 8" diameter "nut dish" or anything the wife end-up using for?

Was no need but I decided to grab some black boot polish, put a bit on a paper towel and rub it in..! I like the smell of that stuff and after a little dry time, a piece of flannelet does wonders!

Again, got the video camera with its own light to take these pics!

Now, I can go and have a sleep...!

Cheers
George

Very cool! I've never seen that done before, but I can think of a couple kind of funky things you could do with it.
