Blackwood Navigator and Another

This is the Navigator I made of Blackwood. Sorry for the picture quality I wasn't able to get my photo tent ready as I was running late, they still came out ok. I really like the grain and feel of this wood.

The other pen is from a blank I won in the bash, not sure if it was from Victor (landfilllumber) or Dale Camino either way it came out looking good.

The finish is multiple coats of medium CA wet sanded and polished.

You should see it in real life Max it is a stunning pen according to the new owner, he liked it better than his $500.00 Mt Blanc.

What kind of Blackwood is that? The African Blackwood I have is jet black, and the sap would is creamy white, nothing in between?
