This particular blank, black tru stone with gold web, is probbably the hardest acrylic I have ever turned. The blank is from exotic blanks and has been sitting for a while. I was waiting for the material to get a little lighter. The wait didn't work. Extremely dense, I had to sharpen my tools 4 times to get it to size but man am I happy with the results. Dressed on a Jr statesman 2 tone the blank makes everything look regal. Thanks Dawn, (and Ed) your blanks make me feel like a true artist. The pics don't do it justice, gotta practice on that.
