Cathy, I'm guessing the BS is band saw.

Bernie, the pen looks awesome. I really like the design. It looks like you made the knot cuts on alternate sides of a six sided blank. Kinda like celtic feathers :biggrin:

sbrant Here is a photo of the class and pen.

We did a double Knot 4 side 2 color red, blue verneer, on a Holly blank, lot of ca all thru the turning
All cuts were made on the band saw
This is the 1st class with the Knot so I didnot know if i could drill and turn the blank the same day or not (all went well) Drilled on the Jet mini

Woodcraft opened a new store in Sarasoto Fl a few month ago, thay gave me the job of pens turning
