So I went to use my brand new Beall Wood Buff for the first time today. The tripoli and the white diamond buffing went extremely well but I had a problem when it came time to use the carnauba wax. It made my blank look very dull. I'm thinking maybe I loaded to much wax into the buffing wheel? I ended up throwing the pen back on the lathe to sand off the wax and rebuffed with the first two waxes again and just wiped on some Renaissance wax to finish it up. It turned out looking pretty good, but I want to be able to use the Carnauba wax if it will look better. Any ideas what the problem was?
