With the help of a local machine shop I came up with this barrel trimmer.
I had them machine a 7/8" diameter by 7/8" long cylinder with a set screw, I then used the 7mm shaft from an old barrel trimmer to mount it on. I am cutting the sand paper out of a self adhesive disc with a punch. I just gave it a brief try and I like the way it works. I will switch to using my collet chuck to hold it when it gets here.

Looks good. The problem I see is I sometimes leave blanks plenty long. Might take awhile to sand em down. Guess I might have to cut them on bandsaw first.
