Don't know why, but I love the straight grained look of bamboo. Love this paired with the copper plating.

Bamboo turns fairly easy and as you can see it makes a nice pen

OK thanks I know it is a soft wood alone so wasnt sure how it would turn, if it would rip out easy or if you had to keep stabilizing it or anything like that. I am a newbie only one pen turned so far. Len

Not at all. I was really surprised.

Light cuts and save the dust in case you have to make patches.

CA finish works well with bamboo.


Displaced that celtic knot is awesome.

Yup, turns easy and smells like you're mowing the yard. Of course, it is technically a grass...
