Went dumpster diving at the local cabinet shop and got a bunch of 3/4" Baltic Birch cut offs . The two at the top of the pile are approximately 11 x 13 so decided to square one up and make a bowl from it .

Well It sure isn't pretty at all as far as my taste goes but for some strange reason some are attracted to this sort of thing and I know it will sell easy for twenty five bucks. The wood was free and it only took a little over an hour to make and I had the fun of doing it . .

It is 10.5" diameter and I guess someone that likes rustic looking stuff will grab it to use as a big fruit bowl on their coffee table .

Bill; Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !! Personaly I like laminated plywood for turning, you never know what your going to get. I always use a marine grade plywood to avoid any voids in the plys. Great cutting job !! It is not easy to turn plywood into rings without breaking them. Jim S
