Apollo buckeye

This is the first Apollo roller ball for me, from Penn State. Its been a long time since I used buckeye burl and the two seemed destined for each other. I like it, but an not sure of all the black accents yet. I went back to the CA finish on this one, since I had to use so much to hold it all together, anyway.

Glenn, that makes me want to try the Apollo. Beautiful work and you are right, the kit was made for this particular blank.

I got the blank from Dale the burl Guy www.dale-the-burl-guy.com. He's got some really nice stuff. There is very nice natural yellow. I used nothing but BLO and CA... A lot of CA as buckeye burl is really soft and save saw dust for filler material.

The black accents really bring out the dark areas of the blank! I think it looks great!!!
