What kind of Oak is this Black Oak, Bog Oak?

somebody help me. Used some and want to sell some but don't know what it is.

Looks like some I have that was pulled out of an old crib dam. Likely Red Oak stained by minerals from the water.

I agree with Mike, I got some oak planks from an old grist mill that looked like that. We have some oaks around my home that my grandfather called Black Jack oaks. The outer couple inches are whitish brown and the hearts are black like the picture you have.Could be that, not real sure what there really called, but probably just black oak. I just know you can't split it with anything when you have to cut one down.

At first glance I would say Fumed oak... if it smells like ammonia my bet is that.
