what do you folks feel is the best way to finish deer antler? thanks jeff

I generally just micromesh it and then a coat of floor wax.

Wear a respirator.

I have done a CA finish with medium ca, and i've also left them unfinished.

I have pens with them both ways...MHO...CA finish.

Couple coats thin CA, then light abranet. It's sealed, but looks natural.

I like to turn them off center so a little of the surface is still exposed on the pen. This also usually exposes some of the marrow of the antler. I use thick CA to fill in the open cells. I then finish them all with medium and thin CA.
