this set of chopsticks is square instead of round. It's arder to do than the round one but it has a really pleasant look. It's made of bubinga

Is eating off bubinga a good idea? I'd think some folks might be allergic. I avoid all exotics for that reason, but maybe just me.

Ive used chopsticks that are square topped with round or octagonal bottoms but never square the whole length. It would be interesting to see how they "eat".

Bridge City Tool Works has a pretty slick chopstick making setup. Not cheap but simple and entertaining. Have your dinner guests make there own chopsticks to eat with. Mobile Site Preview

They worked fine. However If I ever make some again I'll use a rounded tip. I've seen some chopsticks made of bubinga before so that's why I though it was food safe
