Another Pen Final Idea

Today, while in Albuquerque, I visited a Gem & Mineral store and found the following stones that would make great pen finals.

From L to R:

Turquoise (China) 10mm
Turquoise (China) 9mm
Rhodonite 11mm
Turquoise
Crazy Lace Agate 11mm
Nickel something (the magic marker is no longer visable) 11mm

What is so magic about a magic marker anyway??

Great idea! I purchased a bunch of different ones too, from an online place called Fire Mountain Gems. They have a huge assortment of stuff. I just haven't gotten around to doing anything with them. Divorce, move, office move and pen shop move all cut into my pen turning this last year. I'm finally set back up and doing some things.

What is so magic about a magic marker anyway??

At the time they hit the stores it was the only marker item that would mark on pretty much most surfaces and not smudge or rub off easily. What are called China markers or wax pencils made up of wax wrapped in paper or wood were the standard. They smudge or wipe off easily.

Besides their advertizing people picked the name before any one else!

Fire mountain does have a great selection, and are one of the better on line sources. Plus they freely label any treated material, makes no difference whether it is dyed, heat treated or any other process. Some places don't or fudge on the truth.

They should work nicely! They also work well on Bottle Stoppers!
