Hello fellow pen turners, well my little girl and my wife liked my first pen so much. Yes even with several flaws. None the less, they wanted to try one. Here are some pics of my little girl making hers

my wife trued out the block and done most of the work herself. Neither her nor my little girl had used the lathe before. I think they done well.

yes it is a old sears craftsman lathe. The tool rest is a pain, but it is fine for pens not so for bowls

So awesome! Mike's right though unless these pics were staged and protective gear was used between shots.

Great job on the pen! I wish I could have gotten my little girl at the lathe. Now she is 16 and there is no way she will get near it. Good thing my son is still young. Keep up the good work.

Need to get some micro mesh so I can buff it out, but she is dying that I turn it. I am actually wanting to turn it myself i must admitt. I look at it in my box and i want to pull it out and turn it. But I would rather wait till I have what I need to finish it.:)

lol...funny you mention needing micromesh. I put a set of that along with several other turning items and shipped it out to you earlier today:wink: Should have it tomorrow or Thursday.
