This pen is different from all the rest that I have made. I watched some youtubes and used my skew for the entire pen start to finish. I didn't use any other chisels. This is very new for me, I have been using my gouge for all my pens and every time I try to use the skew I mess things up. I read a lot in the forums here and like I said watched some youtubes. I also tried using CA with the lathe off and going horizontal on the blank to reduce the swirls. I need to do more in this department but thanks all of you for you advise in the forums it really helped me.

The more you use the skew, the more you'll like it. The learning curve is steep, but it is an awesome tool. Squaring blanks. Center hole for drilling...

Great job on the pen. It's a beauty.
