Toni and I decided to do a collaboration. Now, now, don't get jealous boys!!!
I sent a couple of random tubes for her to do her magic on and I'd do a custom job on one for each of us.
But I wanted to see how just how fragile they were before trying something custom so I did one of the (her) blanks on this Elegant Beauty
The tube had to be double sleeved ( kit tube inside the blank tube) and I had to build up the blank with numerous coats of CA to get the EB size.
Now that I know that they are NOT fragile and take the CA perfectly, I'll make her another one as well, with some custom metal work.
My wife and daughter absolutely love this pen, but it will be going back to Toni so they don't have to fight over it:biggrin:

Steven, that is an awesome collaboration, the EB is one of my favorite pens, and dressing it with one of the Dragon Lady/ Darth Toni blanks really makes it an Elegant Beauty.

That's a great looking pen Steve. I completely understand your thoughts and your conclusions! I thought the same thing, but the darn stuff ends up more like tough rubber than the brittle glass we tend to think of with clay.

Slow down there Skip - I was supposed to be the first to go kitless with Toni:frown:. I'm in progress, but having a few challenges. They are beautiful and wonderful to work with - a bit scarey at first but soon not so bad.

I'm not generally a flowery kind of person, but it looks really beautiful on that kit. Good job to both of you.

MetalHead almost missed this!

I thought you were way to busy to work on them?:tongue:You said it may be awhile before you get a chance because you are swamped at work. I knew you could not resist working with them.

And to think I have been saying all along how strong PC is as long as it is done correctly.

Great Pen!! You can keep that one If you have to for your wife and I can have the manly one:biggrin::biggrin:
