Another Bullet pen question

I know you can use .308, .30-06, 50 cal. What are some other caliber of bullets?

There are probably more since the pub date of this reloading manual. but this should be enough to get you started.

Make one from scratch. I made one up from a bullet shell my Grandpa shot in WW1 for my uncle and his only son.

I have no idea what "cal", "mm." , "win." or "mag." it was, sorry.

There are the 6mm (6mm 6.5mm .243, 25 -06 .257)
There are the 7mm (7mm .270 - .280 -.284}
There are the 8mm (8mm .32 win Special)
There are the 9mm (.358 .35)
Then there are the big calibers .444 marlin, 45-70, 50-110 and on and on

I have an old Winchester that is 32/40. Funny looking with a small bullet tip on that big brass. Bet it has has a very high muzzel velocity.

There are several shooter supply houses that sell boxes of bullets. Many gun/shooting sports shops have small quanties of bullets available. Smallest common one is 17 cal and the largest are in the 600 caliber - and most every size in between.

Boz -- that 32/40 was a black powder shell and the velocity was slightly higher than a thrown rock down range.

The processes of making the brass cases is much more complex than that of making bullets so there are relatively few case head sizes and many more bullet diamters. Add in creative modifications by shooters and gun smiths and time -- I have a large book of different combinations used over time.

I've also made some that are 30mm and 105mm. The 40mm that I have is more suitable for making pen stands.
