Still playing around with some 2x2 pine while I wait on some more money to buy pen stuff

This started out as a garden dibbler, but I didn't like the shape, so I made it into a miniature baseball bat.

I really like the shape of this. Tried something new today too. I tried to burn a ring in near the top to simulate a tar ring on a real bat, but it didn't work so well.

Overall I'm very happy with the proportions, and I may just make another one.

Turned with my DIY woodchuck, sanded with 240, and burnished in a beeswax finish.

Taken with my cell phone till I can get a new digital. Wife broke the old one.

I like the bat. You can burn rings using different diameters of wire. I wear a gloves to hold the wire so by hands don't get burned, but take them off as soon as I am finished burning.
