Amboyna burl pen

This is Amboyna burl It's *suppose* to be in a set but I am not sure that's where it will end up. May just keep it on my desk

in case anyone is interested it's the bottom block.

I know it is my favorite wood to turn, well a close favorite to curly koa, oh and a close favorite to buck eye burl, and oh yes redwood burl, oh and did I mention red mallee and box elder burl and ....[)]

Nothing smells better in the shop either than amboyna either, A-choo!![]

Chris, it's the segment pen kit from PSI. Not my favorite design either and I would have chose something more elegant.

I really love Amboyna burl! It has become my favorite wood.

Great wood. I love the blue hues in the sap wood. I have a few pieces like that I am saving for a special occasion.
