I am trying to finish an aluminum pen, but everytime I touch it it gets fingerprints on it. What type of finish can I put over it to stop the fingerprints and protect the metal?

CA works for aluminium segements, can't imagine solid Al would be any different.

What about clear powder coat? I've used lacquer on segmented pens containing aluminum.

I wound uo using some Nev-R-Dull and the pen went out the door as soon as I had it put together. I am definetly going to have to get some more of this. I gave the new owner my Nev-R-Dull to go along with the pen. This is the first pen that sold while on the lathe still.

Scott, I tried the Ren wax and wasn't happy with the results. It seemed to cloud up a little and then started to scratch the surface enough that I had to rebuff it.
