Go Red Bowl. Inspired by both the American Heart Association Go Red Campaign and Valentines Day coming up. Rolled rim Maple plate, pierced and airbrushed with an EM6000 waterborne lacquer finish. Fairly small, only 6" (15 cm) across. Has no foot to allow for piercing around the heart, so it rocks a bit when you tap the rim. Weekend project.

Thanks everyone, this was a fun project to make. I have a design in mind for another hearth themed piercing that I will hopefully get to before Valentines Day
I don't think this sort of thing really takes patience at all. An analogy I gave often to the crowd at The Woodworking Show watching me make the Yin-Yang piercing was:
"If you are a baseball fan, going to the stadium and watching a ball game takes no patience at all, if you are not a baseball fan, it takes a heck of a lot of patience. So if you enjoy making these sort of pieces, it takes no patience at all."
