Abalone

1st time making these Abalone pens. Cut the abalone with laser, rolled on the tube, casted, pressure pot, trim, lathe, go

So did you cut all the way through or "etch" the Abalone with the laser and then placed onto the tube? They look great!

I had a friend do the lasering. I will say that he did not go all the way through because when I put them on the tube, there was "cracking" at the seams.

PSI recently started offering abalone pen blanks in various sizes ... about 15 dollars apiece... not a bad price, considering that to get them previously, you'ld be paying near 50 dollars a set!
