I was looking at some pieces and thought I would see what I could do, This piece is inspired by what I was told was called a Weed Pot. They were sort of popular up in the north central states where alot of grains are grown, they had sprigs of Wheat or Barley , even Soy Beans what ever was grown, including a pretty weed or wild flower. This one is made fro a piece of spalted Sweet Gum.
.
I also made a vase out of Sapele, this was a cross cut piece and has some great chatoyance, the Weed pot is about 4 inches tall and the Vase is nearly 8 inches tall and 4 inches diameter at the top I love turning this wood.

It is nice to see your healing from your injuries well enough to enjoy some turning. :)

I like the vase but not the plastic weeds.
