LOML asked me for a small lamp to put on her dresser. I finished it yesterday and here is the result. It is 14" tall made of Ipe and Tulip Wood, the finish is Hut crystal coat and carnuba.
Thanks for looking.

That looks nice.
My wife has asked for a similar lamp.
Can you tell me if it is top heavy at all? I was thinking I would need a wider base which I probably can't do on my small lathe. The size you made I could probably do.

Thanks.
It seems quite stable. I might have made the base a bit larger but using a 2X4 cutoff limited me.

Nice looking lamp Dick. I've been wanting to do one. Just haven't found the right piece of wood yet (ie, free and pretty).
