This is a piece of Spalted flamed maple done in the style of Ray Key.
The hollowing was done thru a 3/4 inch hole, but because of the softness of the spalted ares, I had to open it up when I thought it was complete.
The dia is a tap ove 3.5 inches and the height is over 6 inches.
It is turned as one piece, the top is not a piece that was put in.
The challenge was to make the tops inside parallel with the tops outside
