I have a serious post to make... a question about making a panache pen. My poor little panache pen has been to hell and back trying yo get made into a pen. The bottom half is now a completely different type and piece of wood. It also now has oops bands on both ends of it. But now, when I was trying to trim up the ends from the new oops bands, I cut too far and ended up cutting off part of the tube! So I'm wondering how much give there is in that part- the longer, bottomw part of the pen? Is it one of those that it'll change everything about the pen and it won't work right, or will it just change the aesthetics of it? Anybody know?

Angie,
There is a spring in the bottom of the long part of this pen.. if you haven't cut too much off, you might still be able to complete the pen, but a better idea would be to get new tubes and start over.

Here are two of mine.. one in deer horn and one in Honduras rosewood.
