Aside from a few practice runs, I finally made my first turning project Friday night. Since my wife was complaining that she got screwed when I bought my lathe, I decided my first project should be a bottle stopper... with a bit of humor.

So now every time she is driven to drink, she can think of me and my lathe.

that's funny - I've been showing my wife some of ya'lls pictures and pictures from my local club...she says..."baby, there's no reason we should ever have to buy Christmas gifts...you could make all of them."
