I had an order for 14 Perfect Fit pens made from various woods that I completed a week or so ago. Here are a few of them:

From Left to right:
  • Stabilized Black Ash Burl
  • Amboyna Burl with Sapwood

Very nice. Looks like a satin finish? I like it. Also, how do you like the perfect fits? I had gotten a couple and was surprised by the plastic transmission. Is it durable? Makes for a light pen.

I have used a Perfect Fit as my almost daily carrier for over 2 years now. Berea Hardwoods told me the transmission is a Schmidt transmission. It has held up very well.

The pen is sized nicely and I think has a good appearance. The negatives are 1) the clip can break on one occasionally and 2) the price, especially for a good plating, makes it hard to put on the sales table along side a cigar with an equal plating.
