I had a chance to spend some time in the shop this (long) weekend between errands, etc.
The first one is a Havana Ballpoint from one of Eugene's Amalgam-Mutt blanks.
Next up is Retro in metallic red acrylic (it looks more metallic in person) from Ed the "Resinator"
Finally, this Elegant Beauty is turned from Bardiglio Alabaster. The picture doesn't show it, but this has veins of gold as well as the grey and white.
I had never turned Alabaster before and was surprised by just how soft this was. I "lost" half the blank just rounding the corners on the belt sander. I was very nervous about the blank chipping, so I took very light cuts, but still it turned down pretty quick.
Thanks for looking.
