Hi all,

My wife asked me to make a peppermill for a friend of hers so I decided to make 2. They are both made from curly maple, padauk, purpleheart, walnut and black veneer. The one on the left is about 11" tall and the other is 10". I are currently only finished with BLO and the grinders aren't installed yet.

Very nice, I like the one on the right the best, the symetry and simplicity of form is fantastic.

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments.

Cindy - I haven't installed the grinders yet, but I suspect it will be stable. The base is much wider than the one's I've made previously.

Dana - I bought most of the kits at Craft Supply here: http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/s...lt_Mills___Artisan_Mills___premium_mill?Args=

I like the one on the right the most as well. Any suggestions on a finish? I'm thinking Wipe on Poly.
