Hello all,

I have a customer that wants a pen in a black Euro Kit. I stock and sell the Black Titaniums, but he wants a black black. The only thing I have seen is the black Tactile from CS. Not sure if he is going to like the rubber. I also don't like their shipping policy of 6.50 for one kit!

Anyone ever find a regular black kit?

Thanks in advance,

James

Check locally and see if you can find a powder coater.
If it is a regular request it might be worth your while to PC your own.
HF has had good reviews on theirs in other sites I seen.

Could you repeat that bit about shipping charges a little louder, please? [:0]

I even called them. They only ship based on their rates with no exceptions. 0-20.00 = 6.50. No matter what the weight.

In the future maybe. A little cost prohibitive at this point though.

James, if he wants the black bad enough, he'll pay for the powder coating. I am lucky enough to have a very good local powder coater. Chances are, you may as well. Just ask them if they are scheduled to do any black and what it would cost to throw your stuff in the batch. I just had a number of Harley parts done for $30... 6 pieces total, 3/4 and 1 inch steel tubing floor board platforms. I would think a few pen parts would be chicken feed if they already had a run scheduled. Just a thought.

You would think that a manufacturer would already make something like that, similar to the cigar black chrome. Anyway, I will work it out. I personally like the black titanium, but he doesn't.

Cheers,

James

That's why I mentioned farming the parts out,Locally I found a guy that would clear PC 12 shell casing for the minimum order of 20 bucks.

You might consider something along these lines if you're up for it

It uses just slimline parts, you make the CB and and a wooden finial. You can even get a black ready-made finial from PSI. Make the dimensions whatever you want! (some restrictions apply, around the clip [;)])

I ordered some Tactile slims and Euros when they were on sale on the 18th. CS called the following day and told me they were back ordered. Expected arrival Sept. 5 [:(] They did however assure me that I'll still get the sale price.
