I'm considering making a chamber for stabilization and dye jobs. Is 1/2" acrylic sufficient for a box sized for 4 pen blanks, or maybe even 3-4 stopper blanks? If 3/8" is not thick enough, will 1/2" do the trick, or do I need to step it up even further?

I have access to a bunch of 3/8 scrap at my office, so that's my first choice. 1/2", 3/4", and 1" also available on rare occasion, so if need be I'll wait 'till some of that comes around.

Thanks!

If you want a little chamber, look for a small diameter stainless steel canister and make the top. 3/8 is too thin for a complete chamber in my opinion.
