Allen,
Pen 1 Mission Accomplished (just learning not acceptable) substitute fantastic acheivement.
Pen 2. Classic mismatch of grain disturbed vision but interesting to non pen makers not told about matching grain with two descending arrows to the point.
I would love to accomplish that first one, to avoid the second one use burl or mark clearly the blank before turning with the matching join. There I,ve broken a habit of only seeking pleasant observations.
