2nd Attempt with casting

Now this is more like it. This is some wood I picked up from the trash at Woodcraft in Salt Lake City. Some odds and ends that had been left around. They said it was Scrub Oak, but while turning is was redolent of cedar. This was truly "worthless wood."

I would like to see a more complete tutorial on how this is done. Great looking pen and I am sure there are better things to come. Please add a comment on what resins and coloring agents you used and web links if possible. That would be a great help to all of us that wish to emulate this technique.
