Out working in the snow today. 24" plus drifts.

I realized that my snowblower was actually a 24" Parting Tool!
I would cut in a ways, back out and widen the cut, repeat, do it again and again till I had cut all the way from the street to the neighbors garage door!
I was parting the snow!

I posted this on our woodturning club's Facebook page and another Turner said his snow shovel was a big bowl gouge!

Charlie,

I was trying to make some snow blanks by casting snow .... seems like the white stuff does not hold up well in the dehydrator at 135 degrees. Shame, I have lots of it. Imagine all the pens I could sell!

I guess I will try icicles next ...

Stay warm.

Carl,
Maybe you needed to freeze dry the blanks and then cast the remaining crystals!
