i have been playing with some color, metallic model paint, i have only done a couple of blue so far but there is green and they call it red, i call it pink, still to come when i get some more resin and MEKP, do you believe i can't buy any MEKP in Sale, everywhere has run out

, and i am on holidays, they should have known better

the one on the left is just paint straight on top of the Aluminum
the one on the right has been paint black, rubbed off and then paint blue over the top

and the other side

not sure which i prefer, probably room for both though
let me know what you think

thanks for looking
all C&C welcome

I think they awesome. Love the color added to them. I just started making my own as well. Great job

thanks Longbeard, be prepared they are fun to make and the possibilities are endless, i have a lot of small pieces on my blanks which takes ages to do all the holes, well lots of time to think about what comes next

You just kicked it up a notch on that one. I love the color. See if you can apply that to your lettering?

Thanks Mike, i have done a set of blanks for a friend with her name on it, but alas it was one of those times when what should have been a pen decided it really didn't want to play ball-point.

for some reason this lot of resin is more brittle than any other blank i have ever turned, until yesterday i have never destroyed a resin blank, now i have

i will try again though thats for certain
